This work falls under a category of Observationalism, or perhaps of Somatic Epistemology. I like both of these terms, even if they are personally appropriated.
The conceptually adjacent “in real” and “online” life-crossover of social media, where work is presented and consumed, defining the experience as archiving experience. Where the visual (photography, videography) and written (notes, comments, tweets) overlap as instantly memories; as activities offering spontaneous intellectual or emotional memory-making response.
This act of looking at a photograph/moving image/sound recording, will spark its own memory-making process. The act of taking a photograph and “posting it” becomes a memory object itself. The act of consuming another’s “posted” photograph becomes a memory object itself. Action as memory object. This somatic retention as glossary of terms; as evolving, internal vocabulary.
